Spay & Neuter

Bark Avenue Foundation is tackling the pet overpopulation crisis through low-cost spay/neuter. The cost of fixing a pet is prohibitive for many pet owners resulting in accidental litters and animals surrendered to municipal shelters. Our goal is to make a significant impact on the  number of animals being abandoned and euthanized at our shelters.

BAF has launched its “Community Cares Spay/Neuter Program” in East LA with the goal of providing outreach, education, and low cost spay/neuter services in order to reduce shelter intake and euthanasia at Downey Animal Care Center. To date, this program has sterilized nearly 1,000 cats and dogs at no cost to their owners.

If you live in Los Angeles County and you need help with spay/neuter, explore resources under “Get Help” on this site, or contact BAF at info@barkavenuefoundation.org.
