Please consider adopting a mature pet today!

As autumn hits its stride in November, let us give some love to those entering and experiencing the autumn of their own lives. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month.  Depending on breed of dog or cat, the term “senior” can refer to a pet anywhere from age 8 to 18 (or beyond if you are so lucky!)

Like the baby boomers who hit AARP age, a lot of these pets are still ready to go on adventures and are looking for that special someone to carry them into their twilight years.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet, calm snuggle buddy or a companion who is still up for adventure, there’s a senior just waiting to join you. Your local shelter and rescues may be holding adoption promotions in honor of these seniors, but really, who needs more motivation than knowing you’re bringing home unconditional love? And to know that you’re giving back the very same thing to a pet who’s been around the block, has already experienced some life, and is ready to start a whole new one with you.
