Providing social services in a time of social distancing

Providing social services in a time of social distancing can pose a significant challenge, but Bark Avenue Foundation is finding solutions to continue operations and with your help together we can make sure everyone is taken care of.

UPP’s Pet Wellness Clinic scheduled for March 23rd has necessarily been cancelled, as it draws crowds. However, we will not leave our clients without services. BAF has already delivered pet food to one client this past Saturday, met another Tuesday at the pharmacy to cover the cost of pet epilepsy medication, and we we made a pet food and supply drop to LA Family Housing yesterday.

The Whittier Spay & Neuter Clinic March 28th has been cancelled, but our team is rapidly rescheduling all appointments to stand alone veterinary offices or to our future mobile clinics.

As you know our annual Bowling 4 Paws fundraiser has been postponed to June 21st. We are so grateful to all of our contributors, sponsors, and attendees for sticking with us despite the event being pushed. We look forward to having this fun and successful event on the first day of Summer, and are thankful for your dedication.

We know that distancing yourself socially can be lonely, but know that you are never truly alone. Bark Avenue Foundation will continue to provide support and services to those in need by whatever means possible. We are always just a phone call or email away.

And we wouldn’t be able to provide that support without you. Should you have some free time on your hands, BAF is always looking for volunteers—things you can do from home like making calls, sending emails, networking and fostering is always needed. And of course any monetary donations go directly to provide services and supplies to those in need.

While we must distant ourselves socially right now, we can still stand together to #AlterTheFuture. If you would like to volunteer please sign up or if you would like to give, and if you are one who needs help, you need only just ask.
