SENATOR HERTZBERG – A CHAMPION FOR THE ANIMALS!

We were pleased and honored to have Senator Hertzberg join us for our monthly visit to LA Family Housing on July 22rd. Senator Hertzberg understands the valuable role our pets play in our lives, and is championing Senate Bill 258, which would help pets and their guardians who are experiencing homelessness remain together in safe, temporary housing.

Part of BAF’s preventive mission is to keep pets with their families, and this includes those going through rough times, who understand the human-animal bond at least as well if not better than the more fortunate among us. These monthly pop-ups provide services that include veterinary exams and assessments for additional tests and treatments, vaccines, ear care, nail trims, pet food and supplies, flea and tick prevention, and more to unsheltered and transitionally-housed pet parents and their fur-family, and we are grateful for this partnership with LA Family Housing and the chance to help those in need in our community so they can keep their pets safely.
