Spotlight on Change

In 2019, we highlighted just a few of our brilliant volunteers. While those we highlighted and those we have yet to shine a spotlight on are diverse in upbringing, culture, and day jobs, there is one common thread that binds them together: the love of animals and need to make the world a better place.

A comedienne, a non-profit manager, an accountant, a professor, and a filmmaker are just a few of the people we are so grateful to have on the Bark Avenue Foundation team. Every one contributes their unique self in ways we never dreamed possible. Feline experts, foster families, multi-lingual teachers, public relations gurus, and sociologists come together to make the world a better place—one pet and one person at a time.

This year, when you ponder how you can make a difference, know that what matters more than skillset and talent is a passion for the cause. Here at BAF we have a passion for compassion. We teach children how to be kind; we help those who cannot make ends meet provide for their pets, and we reduce the number of animals going into the shelter by providing low and no cost spay & neuter.

But that’s what we do, not who we are. We are a force for change in this world. We are an organization doing what we can to make the world a brighter, better place. It’s been said that you can’t change the world, but you can change the world of one individual. We strive to do both.

We are grateful to all of our volunteers who contribute so much of themselves in so many ways. Whether it’s fundraising through online forums or event planning or it’s getting up early on a Saturday morning to check in the people waiting to get their pets neutered, or it’s spreading the word about all that we do; we appreciate every second you take of your day to support us. Your support helps others giving people hope and saving pets lives. You are Bark Avenue Foundation and you are the change we’ve been waiting for.

We are ever grateful for all of our volunteers, and if you have a passion to alter the future one pet at a time, please contact christy@barkavenuefoundation.org. We would love for you to join our team.
